Questions
What is a custom couple portrait on canvas?
It is a portrait of two people, made from a photograph of them, and printed on stretched canvas to hang on a wall. It can be hand painted by an artist, or made digitally and printed. Yugal makes it digitally, in the manner of a painting tradition such as Raja Ravi Varma or the Mughal court.
How much does a custom couple portrait cost in India?
Prices range widely. Small digital prints start under ₹1,000, digital portraits printed on canvas are commonly ₹2,000 to ₹4,000, and hand-painted oil portraits cost more and take weeks. A Yugal portrait is ₹3,499 for a 20 × 30 inch canvas.
How is Yugal different from a hand-painted portrait?
A hand-painted portrait has real paint on the canvas, costs more and takes weeks. A Yugal portrait is made digitally from your photograph and printed on canvas, which is faster and lets you see it before you pay. It is not a hand painting.
What photo do I need?
One clear, well-lit photo of the two of you with both faces large in the frame, or one photo of each. The original file works better than a screenshot or a forwarded copy.
Is it hand painted?
No. It is made with AI-assisted tools from your photograph, checked by a person, and printed on canvas. A new work in the manner of a historical tradition, not a hand painting.
What if the likeness isn't right?
You see the portrait free before you pay. After ordering you can still ask for up to two revisions. Nothing is printed until you approve.
