Terms of service

These terms apply when you use yugal.life and order a Yugal portrait from ("Yugal", "we").

1. What we make. A new portrait of the people in your photographs, created with AI-assisted tools in the visual language of a historical portrait tradition, reviewed by a person, and printed on a 20 × 30 inch canvas. It is not hand-painted, not a reproduction of any particular painting, and not the work of any historical artist.

2. Your photographs. You confirm that you have the right to use the photographs you upload, and that everyone in them has agreed to their portrait being made. Don't upload photographs of children without a parent's or guardian's consent, or photographs of anyone without theirs. We may decline to make a portrait from photographs we believe are not yours to use, or that are unlawful, explicit or hateful.

3. Previews and approval. Previews are watermarked and for your review only. Your order is for the version you approve (or the version you chose, if 48 hours pass without a reply). Likeness is our priority; artistic interpretation within the tradition is part of the work.

4. Prices and payment. Prices are in Indian rupees and are paid in full online at checkout. We don't offer cash on delivery.

5. Delivery, cancellation and refunds. See our shipping and refund policies.

6. Who owns what. The physical canvas is yours. You may share photographs of your portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes. We keep the rights in our designs and the brand. We never use your portrait publicly (for example on our website or social media) unless you separately say yes.

7. Privacy. How we handle your photographs and personal information is set out in our privacy policy. In short: photographs are used only to make your portrait and are deleted within 30 days if you don't order, or 7 days after delivery if you do.

8. Our responsibility. We are responsible for making and delivering your canvas as described. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

9. Changes. We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order applies to that order.

10. Law. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
